2009 Lueker Christmas Card Photo Shoot

Yes, it's that time of year again! The time of year that all children and parents love! Said children love to be dressed up and made to sit and smile while said parents (and grandparents if you're lucky enough - and they're unlucky enough - for the help) turn themselves inside out trying to get anything that is even slightly and remotely usable for a Christmas card. Since you don't typically send pictures of your children to everyone you think it would be nice to send a picture of them that makes them look at least semi-intelligent. Yes, I have that dream of the perfect and beauitful Christmas card. My one consolation in this process is to hope that someday I have the opportunity to share this funfilled experience with my daughters and their children... I had actually hoped (for my sake as well as that of my children and husband) that we would be able to skip this ordeal this year and use a couple of candid shots from Thanksgiving and Kennedy's party. As you've probably gathered from this post that didn't quite work out. And since it didn't, Saint Grammy suggested getting the girls dressed up and giving it a go before they left last Sunday and could help with the process. In all honesty, we did end up with some good pictures. Those wouldn't be as much fun to post here and I'm quite certain these will entertain you a bit more than the ones you'll be receiving on your Christmas cards. All that said...

Happy Holidays from Reagan and Kennedy! lol :)
You might think this is good, but it gets better...
See, I told you!
Let the bribes begin...
Anybody home?
Giving the ice bribe (at least it's cheap) a hug
Time for the big guns... Baby Cinderella has arrived!
In all fairness to Reagan I have to put a disclaimer here as to why there are not as many fabulous pictures of Kennedy included in this post. You might think it was because Kennedy was being so cooperative and photogenic but you would be wrong. The reason would actually be that Kennedy, for the most part, refused to let us take her picture - good, bad or otherwise...

You can make me sit but you can't make me smile...
I said I don't want to have my picture taken!!!
Get this bow off my head!!!
I actually nearly considered using this picture of the girls. Even though it is a bit goofy I liked that they were having so much fun and giggling together.

Don't be surprised if some year I decide to be a terrible mother and instead of using the best pictures use the worst ones. Would I do that to my children? If you've ever been through this experience, and know the level of stress which is involved, you probably won't be surprised to receive that crazy Christmas card! lol :) So let it be said I am thankful this endeavor is over and grateful I have another year before I have to live through it again! lol :)
