Kennedy's First Birthday Party

We had Kennedy's official first birthday party the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28. We had a wonderful time and appreciated everyone who came, especially the grandparents and aunts and uncles that made the extra effort to travel! It's so special to be able to share big days with friends and family and definitely one of the nicest things about living in Kentucky. We had a fabulous time and while we can't believe our little Missy K is already a year old we also can't wait to watch her learn and grow throughout the coming year! We know we'll be celebrating her second birthday in no time! Happy Birthday Missy K! :) Nonna, Grammy, Mommy and Aunt Julie all coordinated in purple with Kennedy in teal all ready for her purple and teal Winnie the Pooh 1st Birthday Party!
Two Grandmas!!! Now this is the life!
Daddy and Nonna sharing a laugh and love with the birthday girl
Can't you see from this picture how much Kennedy is loved and adored by both Grammy and Pop-A-Lops? :)
Kennedy loves Aunt Julie!
Kennedy with her godparents, Aunt Julie and Uncle Chuck
Heidi located the cupcakes as soon as she arrived lol :)
Who says little boys clothes can't be cute? How adorable is Holden in his little hat? Who needs bows anyway! :)
Kennedy knows how to climb up the front and back of her highchair (which was originally made by her Great Great Grandpa Matthews and is over 100 years old)

So proud!
A naughty (but happy) dynamic duo, Kennedy having reached her summit and Heidi with her stolen cupcake
Having fun (or being wild and crazy) with Katie and Lauren (our favorite and best baby-sitters in the world!!!)
Two suspicious looking characters...
Sharing M&M's with Aunt Annette, Kennedy's Godmother
Reagan doing her best to blow her party favor with Grammy's help
Grammy volunteered to demonstrate how but accidentally bonked Reagan in the face. Reagan went flying backwards and while she thought it was funny (as did everyone else) she decided it was safter to keep her face covered while watching Grammy demonstrate! lol :)
Playing in the ball pit with Michael
Uncle Dan's family
Going up the stairs with Nonna
and down the stairs with Nonna (this is definitely one of Kennedy's favorite games)
Godmothers are such a blessing and so much fun too!!!
Kennedy's birthday cakes made especially for her by Nonna
Checking out her little birthday cake
Snacks and decorations around the house
Winnie the Pooh was a gift from the Sligers and was definitely an inspiration and compliment to our birthday theme. He was so cute and sang "Happy Birthday" while the candle on his cake lit up! :)

Enjoying some delicious Old Chicago pizza together
After eating her pizza Kenndy decided to clean up the big girls plates (both their pizza and their M&Ms)
Blowing out the candle (with the help from a couple of two year olds)
Time to get down to business and eat some cake!

Kennedy's with her game face on
Following Heidi's lead Kennedy decided to use her number one candle as an eating utensil

Yummy cake!
Done with cake and on to M&M's...
and cupcakes...
Opening gifts is serious business!!!
Reagan is always so sweet when receiving gifts. She has to stop and play with every one before moving on to the next one. I think it's so sweet that she's taking time to loving Kennedy's new monkey while Heidi and Kennedy are moving on to the next gift. :)
Taking a break from opening presents to read one of her new books and have a good laugh with Daddy
Thanks to Grammy, Nonna and Grandma, Heidi and Reagan had presents to open at Kennedy's party too.
While Uncle Mark was opening her princesses Reagan announced that she was being "very patient"

My hilarious one year old baby girl climbing and being naughty
Here are a couple of birthday cake videos from Kennedy's birthday we thought you might enjoy! :)

Happy Birthday Kennedy Ellen! We love you so much! :)
