Decorating for Christmas

I typically decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. Because we watch the Polar Express in the basement on Thanksgiving evening this year we decided to go ahead and put up the kids tree in the basement Wednesday evening to enjoy during the movie. It is a very bright and colorful tree with a semi-candy theme. Missy K got right into the spirit and loved decorating the tree. "Princess" Reagan was busy watching a movie while everyone else was working. She insisted Grammy come and watch with her. :)I made sourdough sticky buns for breakfast the morning after Thanksgiving for us to eat while we were busy decorating. Jackson throughly enjoyed his. I don't think he could stuff enough in or fast enough. lol :)Sweet Missy K really wanted to help and worked very hard wherever/whenever we let her. Bless her heart she broke multiple ornaments but nothing irreplacable. Grand-Dad caught some precious pictures of her working on the big Christmas tree in our living room. Here's a picture of Kennedy taking a "picking" break. I don't know why, but she is always picking at her fingers. She'll even tell us she's "pickin' pickin' pickin" or that she's being a "picky picker" and then giggles and giggles. When I first saw this picture I couldn't figure out what she was doing, then I wasn't going to include it and then I decided I would because of that super cute smile and because in years to come it will remind me of my silly picky picker, Missy K."Jackson and Daddy working hard on decorating lol :)Reagan wasn't too interested in decorating the house in general this year but both girls enjoyed decorating the tree in their bedroom which sported only green and purple ornaments, their favorite colors. It was an interesting looking tree... :) It has purple lights and it was hardly ever turned on because they said it was too much light. I love my little goof balls! :)Grand-Dad took this great picture of Mom and me as we were finishing up the big Christmas tree which has a variety of glass ornaments. I really do like my big tree!

Thank you to Grammy and Grand-Dad for all their hard work in getting the house decorated! We would not have half the decorations if it weren't for them! Thank you so so so so soooooooo much! :)
