Starting 2012 Off Right! :)

As tradition calls for, Grammy made her delicious Long Johns for New Year's morning. :) Heidi spent the night and the girls had fun adding their own decorative sprinkles Grammy frosted them. :)Jackson took eating his Long Johns (and especially the frosting) very seriously lol :)After selecting the perfect one, Missy K couldn't even wait to sit down before enjoying the first delicious bite. :) She doesn't have any clothes on because she was already dressed in princess attire so she had to remove it before she could eat breakfast. Grammy refrosted Kennedy and Jackson's Long John's I don't know how many times. I'm pretty sure they managed to eat more frosting than actual Long Johns.A sweet Missy K getting loving from Grammy and Grand-dadThree sweet princesses playing Head Banz (a game from Aunt Arla - I'm not sure I would recommend this game, it looks fun but it's surprisingly difficult for adults and children alike)

After fixing a fabulous breakfast Grammy also made Lutefisk, a traditional Swedish fish dish, later in the day. It was awesome! We always had it for Carlson family Christmas gatherings growing up but I don't think Mom's ever made it. Since the kids and I haven't gone to Wisconsin for Christmas the last couple of years it has been several years since I've enjoyed this meal. Grammy did a wonderful job and I appreciated her efforts tremendously! I can't believe neither Grand-dad or I managed any pictures of the process or finished product. :( Tim wasn't sold on it (I think it might be something you have to grow up with) and neither were Reagan or Jackson, but there may still be hope/time for them. Kennedy on the other hand couldn't get enough! I believe she had 3 helpings! Thank you Aunt Arla for purchasing the Lutefisk and thank you Grammy for making it! I can't wait to have it again next year! :) We had a very enjoyable start to 2012 and we hope you all got your New Year off to such a pleasurable beginning!
