Tulips

Grammy brought us some Tulip bulbs last Fall to plant in our new yard. Unfortunately I never quite got around to planting the Tulips (oops - maybe next year...). So, in January Grammy brought us a pot and some dirt to plant the Tulips for us to enjoy indoors. This was the girls first experience with planting bulbs of any sort.

Helping Grammy fill the pots with dirt

It's great to have an opportunity to play in the dirt!
Dirt is so much fun - it is the best!!! lol :)
Placing the bulbs in the dirt
Pop-A-Lops helped with the planting process too
Kennedy thought watering the plants was pretty funny! lol :)
It took about a month for the tulips to start blooming but the girls have enjoyed watching them grow (minus one large spill - and huge dirt mess - down the stairs one afternoon which even the girls probably still enjoyed even if Mommy didn't lol :). Here's Reagan with a couple of purple Tulip buds.
The girls singing "The Itsby Spider" to the Tulips. That's what flowers need to grow, right? Dirt, water, sunshine and a bit of good singing from sweet little girls! ;)
Kennedy has enjoyed watching the Tulips grow as much as Reagan
Checking out the Tulips that are still working on coming up
Thank you for the fun project Grammy! We'll hopefully get motivated to plant a number of veggies and other flowers this Spring as the weather warms up! :)

  1. Brave planting indoors. The flowers look beautiful. I like Kenny's look in the last photo, like 'any minute a Tulip is going to pop up, I just know it!'
