We go to storytime at our local Barnes and Noble every Tuesday morning. Since St. Patrick's Day fell on Wednesday this year Mr. Lowell decided we should celebrate during our Tuesday morning storytime. We read a book about a little boy wanting to be in a St. Patrick's Day parade. Even though we had brought some Leprechaun hats of our own Mr. Lowell had special sequence Leprechaun hats for everyone to wear during our own St. Patrick's Day parade in the store. As always we had a great time hearing the story, participating in activities, doing an art project and on this special day we even enjoyed a special cookie treat!

Kennedy ready for storytime to begin with her Leprechaun hat and special St. Patrick's Day doll Aunt Arla sent Reagan
Reagan excited about her sparkly Leprechaun hat :)
Marching in the parade
Coloring St. Patrick's Day parade pictures together
Kennedy found a stuffed Mickey Mouse to carry around while looking at books
Reagan loves to find corners to sit and read books in, for several weeks Dr. Suess was her favorite book stand to sit by
On the actual St. Patrick's Day, Heidi came over to spend the day and play with us. We had a great time with her and the weather was so beautiful we were able to enjoy a lot of time outside.
The cats are beginning to appreciate Reagan a lot more and even seek out her attention. I'm sure it helps that she is big enough to help them out with things like opening doors to let them in and out. Although, Kennedy has figured out this month (April) how to let the cats in and out too but they are still a little skeptical of her love and attention. :)
Kennedy was so upset (MAD) when the big girls decided they were finished swinging and wanted to play somewhere else. Poor baby! She just stood by her swing and screamed. She finally found a piece of mulch she wanted to show me and then laughed and ran across the yard to us. :)
Heidi and Reagan found a sled we hadn't put away from all the snow we enjoyed this winter. Reagan started out trying to pull Heidi but when that didn't work Heidi decided to try to pull Reagan and Kennedy - up hill no less... :)
Reagan didn't have much better luck pulling just Kennedy up hill
Then Reagan decided to try and pull Kennedy down the hill. A better idea, but one that still didn't work out great. After the big girls gave up Kennedy did attempt to make the sled work by herself but I think we've decided you really do need snow (or at least sand - if you talk to Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jennifer) to make a sled work. :)
