'80's Party and Lots More Fun in TN

We headed to Tennessee one weekend in August to see Grammy and Grand-Dad and as always had lots of fun! :) Grammy and Grand-Dad were ready to roast marshmellows for smores as soon as we got there. The kids all had fun having Grammy pull them around on this lounge chair on the deck before, between and after marshmellows. :)Jackson enjoying his first smore with Grand-Dad. Yummy! :)Before we headed out for a super busy Saturday Jackson decided to try on Daddy's cool sunglasses for the '80s party Saturday night. :)Our first stop Saturday morning was a new donut shop. Jackson throughly enjoyed the huge bear claw donut Grammy purchased for him.I don't know how it started but somehow Missy K caught the attention of the owner. I think she was singing but I'm really not sure. Well he came out and told her she must need another donut, his treat! She and Reagan the proceeded to talk his ear off. I didn't think they were ever going to let him go back to work. He was super nice and he told them they could come back and he would give them donuts anytime! :)After the donut shop we went to the Farmers Market to pick up some fresh produce. Missy K found these super huge watermelons with Grand-Dad.Next we headed over to a model airplane show. That's probably not really what it's called but it was cool. These small planes were amazing and it was really neat watching them fly around. Grammy stayed in the van with Jackson since he had fallen asleep on the ride there.Because it was such a gorgeous day we headed to Burgess Falls park to enjoy the weather. While the girls were using the restroom before heading down to the falls Jackson discovered a new joy with Grand-Dad. Look at my big guy getting a drink from the water fountain! :)We headed down to the water and decided it was calling to us to hop right in! :)My sweet girls :)Jackson was a little nervous and not sure what he thought of the water at first. I'm sure his Nrvous Nelly father's attitude wasn't helping any either...Sometimes it's fun to be a spectator too :)Jackson getting a little braver about the water with Daddy's assistanceReagan wanted me to take this picture of her - I love that smile! :)Grammy with her three cute grandkids. I love it when we capture cute pics like this with everyone smiling and pretty much looking at the camera! :)With a little help and encouragement from Grammy, Jackson really started to LOVE splashing in the water!!!Missy K and Reagan spotted a millipede they enjoyed watching. If you look carefully, you can see it on the side of the rock not too far below Kennedy's hand. After we finished by the water we headed to the playground where the kids had a fantastic time playing with Grammy and Grand-Dad (and Mommy and Daddy too). :)Jackson was having a great time swinging when Daddy felt the need to stop him and show him how to hold on properly. You can see from Jackson's expression what he thought of Daddy messing with his swing time...My Little Wild Man is ready to go!!! At least holding on had a pay off because boy oh boy has Daddy come a long way! I don't know if it's because Jackson is a boy or the third child (or maybe a little of both) but there is NO way Tim would have let the girls swing this high at this age! lol :) Lovin' Life!!! :)Everyone loves to slide with Grammy!!! :)Ready, Set, Go!!!The Hamlins gave the girls these Magna Doodle type boards for Christmas and they love them. We take them everywhere with us. On our way to El Tapatio (the girls and my favorite Cookeville restaraunt) Jackson discovered he loves writing with them too. I was surprised how well he held the pencil! Go Jackson Go! :)The reason we chose this weekend in August to go to Tennessee was so we could attend Kelly and Charlie's '80s party. In case you can't tell, I was an NKOTB fan (big stretch I know...) and Tim was a security guard. lol :) We both rolled our jeans too. :)Kelly was an NKOTB fan too. I love Charlie's hair! lol :)Here we are in all our glory! Wish I could find some pictures of a photo shoot Kelly and I did of each other in the 80's. We had a bit more makeup than this and had quite the outfits and hair. True fashionistas I tell you! lol :) I need to find them or see if Kelly has them. They are so funny! lol :)

Thanks for the great weekend! :)
