Uncle Ran and Aunt Kayci's Wedding

This year we spent New Year's Eve in Illinois with Tim's family as we have done the last several years. This year was special, however, as Tim's older bother, Ran, and his new wife, Kayci, decided to get married New Year's Eve. It was a wonderful and fun wedding and we were so happy to be able to share this special evening with them! We wish Uncle Ran and Aunt Kayci the very very best in their marriage and life together!
A quick shot by Don Goings of Aunt Kayci before the wedding
With Reagan's current fascination (since our Disney cruise) with princesses and weddings, specifically brides, it was no surprise to any of us that she was completely in love with Aunt Kayci. Reagan was stuck like glue to Aunt Kayci most of the evening and wnated her undivided attention. Aunt Kayci was super sweet and accomodated Reagan beautifully. Reagan decided sometime in December that she is going to get married when she turns 5 (the age we have told her she can chew gum - it will be a big year!) and I think seeing a wedding and bride only further convinced her she's ready to be a princess bride! lol :) I can't wait to see what she thinks of being a flower girl twice next year!
The kids were all so sweet sitting themselves down next to each other and intently watching the wedding. :) It was especially funny because everyone wanted to sit by the "red" girl. There were two tantrums (one by Reagan and one by another little boy who somehow didn't end up in this picture) during the ceremony by kids wanting to sit by the "red" girl... Thankfully Aunt Kayci and Uncle Ran were very understanding and okay with whatever the kids were up too... Having said that, the children were mostly very good and quite angelic as you can see from the picture below during the cermony and throughout the evening. :)

The Wedding Cake
Cutting the cake
If I understood correctly the one thing Aunt Kayci wanted to make sure happenned at her wedding was that she got to smash cake in Uncle Ran's face...
We're so happy that her wedding wish was fullfilled. lol :)
Looks like Uncle Ran did a pretty good cake smashing job himself! :)
Reagan made sure she was first in line for the first piece of cake! Actually if you look carefully at the cake picture above you'll notice there's a tiny finger print/smudge that would belong to my eldest daughter on the right front side of the cake from earlier in the evening...
Aunt Kayci tossing her bouquet
The speeches were so nice and you'll notice that Reagan insisted upon sitting with Aunt Kayci at the head table. Thank you again Aunt Kayci for being so patient and sweet with Reagan all evening long!

With Grandma's help Reagan located a cake ball she could eat neraly as soon as we walked in the door. lol :)
Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Denise and Uncle John (we missed Uncle Bill and Aunt Jean because they left before we got there since we decided to let the girls take a late nap so they would be able to stay up late for the wedding and welcome in the New Year)

Joel walked around all night with this box of '80s trivia. Tim's friends are so funny. lol :)

Aunt Kayci telling Grandma how Reagan tried to help her out by reaching over and pulling up the front of her dress. I'm glad Aunt Kayci is so easy going and thought it was funny instead of being offended!

I think this picture of the two of us turned out really well

Reagan loves water fountains and was delighted to find one at the reception hall
How many people can Reagan get to help her at the water fountain at one time?
She even made poor Aunt Kayci help her!
Reagan loved dancing with Aunt Kayci!
Aunt Kayci and Uncle Chuck really getting down
Angie and Miles doing a Mother/Son dance? lol :)
Aunt Kayci calling Daddy to the floor for his very favorite dance the "Cha Cha." I think this song is so much fun but Tim hates to dance and especially hates this song because they used to make us do the dance at the Boeing Leadership Center during breaks to wake us up and get our blood flowing again. Poor Tim, he truly has a hard hard life! lol :)
Kennedy was our little dancing queen at the wedding. She was hilarious!!! lol :) I hate that I ran out of video tape and didn't get it on film because it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. She danced and spun and did this little head/shoulder thing that was too funny for words. These pictures can't come close to depicting how much fun she was having and how much fun we had watching her but it's better than nothing! I can't wait to see her next year at Uncle Chuck and Aunt Julie's wedding!!! :)

Uncle Ran and Aunt Kayci leading the count down and wishing everyone Happy New Year!
Reagan doing her part to bring in the new year!!!

The girls were doing great and having a wonderful time so we ended up staying right until the end of the wedding which was 1:00 AM when the hall closed. Before leaving Reagan needed one last good-bye hug from the beautiful bride :)
Congratulations Uncle Randy and Aunt Kayci! We wish you all the very best in 2010 in your new marriage and with your new home and baby!
