Grammy & Pop-A-Lops B-Day Weekend

Grammy and Pop-A-Lops came up the first weekend in August to celebrate their birthdays with us. We welcomed them Friday evening with a Baskin Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream birthday cake.
Saturday we treated them (ha ha ha) to a birthday trip to the zoo. :) We started our day by watching the Sea Lion show/feeding since the girls had loved that so much during our previous visit. Then we headed to the splash park where as you can see Kennedy had a much better time with the help of Grammy and Pop-A-Lops! :)

I thought this was a cute pic of Pop-A-Lops teaching Kennedy how to stick her foot over the fountain while waiting for it to erupt again. Missy K is so much braver with her grandparents at her side!
Speaking of brave... look at the way Kennedy was letting Pop-A-Lops and Grammy get her sprayed! Right in the face! lol :)

Reagan of course loved the splash park too and had a wonderful time playing with Grammy and Pop-A-Lops as well
The primary reason we wanted to take Grammy and Pop-A-Lops to the zoo for their birthdays was to meet Diego. Reagan has been talking about this for a long time and was extremely excited when she found out Diego was finally visiting our zoo. Both girls enjoyed seeing one of their favorite heros.

Before we left Grammy and Pop-A-Lops treated the girls to a couple of rides on the carousel
Kennedy blowing kisses as she passed us
Reagan enjoying her carousel cheetah ride
Kennedy getting a piggy back ride from Grammy
Reagan and Grammy enjoying time together at the piano after our day at the zoo
Here's a video of the girls very excitedly meeting Diego

I thought this video of Grammy with the girls in the splash park was funny because it looks like she's taking Kennedy down the slide when you see that Reagan is holding on to her back.
Thank you Grammy and Pop-A-Lops for being such sports, especially on your birthday weekend!
