We are using the Advent Calendar made by Great Aunt Joan for Uncle Andrew and Mommy when they were children again this year. Reagan is truly enjoying and loves to put the ornaments on the tree.
When Reagan got today's ornament out she exclaimed "It's not a pickle! It's a Christmas Tree!!!" Wouldn't you love to know how a 2 year old's mind works?
When she finally got the ornament snapped on Reagan was super excited and shouted "I did it!"

One more funny Reagan/Advent Calendar story. On Friday night Tim was helping Reagan with the calendar and I heard him tell her once we have all the ornaments up Santa Clause will come (this is the first year Reagan is excited about and understands the concept of Santa). While I knew why Tim was saying that I also wanted to emphasize that was not the point of the Advent Calendar so I 'wisely' stepped in and said "No, that's when Baby Jesus comes." Reagan's immidiate response was "I don't want a Baby Jesus! I don't want a baby!" She truly thought we were telling her we would have another baby by the time we were finished hanging the ornaments. We couldn't get her to calm down until Daddy brilliantly explained that what I had meant was we would be celebrating Baby Jesus' birthday. What a little nut!

This was on the heels of us asking Reagan what we should name another baby during our Thanksgiving celebrations. I was asking because recently, without prompting, she had started telling us we should name another baby fill in the blank presidents name. She was most frequently telling us Washington so I thought this would give everyone a good laugh. When I asked her what we should name another baby however she came back with this response after thinking about it for several seconds "How about," (dramatic pause) "we've had enough babies!" I don't think Reagan is ready to be a big sister again anytime soon... lol :)
