Funny Girls

Any one who has kids will understand these next pictures. It's amazing how kids watch and learn what you do! I have a stereo between the girls bedrooms which I use to play classical music for them at nap and bedtimes. I'm nearly always holding Kennedy when I turn it on so rather than bending over I just flick the on switch with my foot and punch the play button with my toe. A couple of weeks ago I noticed Kennedy beginning to walk up to the stereo and wave her foot around it. At first I couldn't figure out what on earth she was doing and then it hit me... my one year old thinks you turn on a stereo with your foot instead of your hand! lol :)

Oh yes, that's right, if I just step on it I'll get all the music I need! :)

One morning a couple of weeks ago Reagan came bouncing into our bedroom before Kennedy was awake. After being there for a few minutes we heard Kennedy babbling and Reagan went off to say good morning. I was on the computer so I decided to finish up what I was doing knowing Kennedy would be happy with Reagan dancing and singing to her outside the crib. The next thing I heard was "I did it! I did it!" I know that at 2 1/2 years old this is no incredible accomplishment but I just think after never figuring out how to climb in and out of the crib it's funny that Reagan finally discovered how and was so proud of herself!

After hopping back out of the crib Reagan told me she was "tired" and needed to rest so she lay down on the small air matress we've had set up in Kennedy's room for nights we're having trouble getting her to sleep. Reagan obviously thought she was being pretty entertaining...
Kennedy also thought Reagan was pretty funny pretending to need to go back to sleep after having just gotten out of bed! lol :)
