Reagan's 3rd Birthday

I can't believe our little Missy Reagan is already 3! She is such an intense and sweet little girl! :)
~
She loves to read and is doing such a great job with that - she can pretty much pick up about any child's book and read it now. She also reads anything and everything everywhere we go. I am so glad she has this love and joy of reading and it's certainly something we will continue to encourage!
~
She is beginning to write her name on her own. We're not quite there yet, but we're getting there. While Reagan has an amazing memory she isn't always super coordinated so things like holding a pencil correctly to really have control to write is a little more challenging for her.
~
She is doing great with beginning math skills like patterns and basic addition and subtraction. She's also starting to get the hang of counting by 2's and 5's although this is still a little confusing to her. She counts to 20 easily and can count to 30 but isn't quite as consistent.
~
Reagan loves to play outside and enjoys other kids. She is an extremely affectionate little girl and wants and needs lots of hugs and kisses. She is also a super helper in the kitchen and loves to help me cook/bake as well as set and clear the table. She is an excellent helper!
~
As you could probably guess from the princess party pictures Reagan is all about princesses. Ever since our Disney Cruise she has been obsessed with princesses and weddings. She loves to dress up, do her hair and wear makeup anytime I let her. She asks everyone who their prince charming is, sometimes before she asks what their name is. lol :) We are going to Disney World this month and the character Reagan is the most excited to meet is Prince Charming (from Cinderella). She is such a little nut, I mean princess! :)
~
She is super excited about having another baby and is absolutely determined it will be a little sister. Anytime we even mention the possibility of a baby brother she just says "How about we have a baby sister?" lol :) Reagan has even started negotiating with us on this point this week. She has told us that first we can have a baby sister and then a baby brother or she would be okay with two babies like Dora. We don't care whether we add another little girl or a boy to the family, we just want a happy and healthy baby, but I hope Reagan won't be too dissapointed if we find out she is having a baby brother. She is so sweet and always wanting to kiss my tummy that I'm sure she will be accepting of any baby! :)
~
We can't wait to see how Reagan will grow over the next year but we sure are proud of her and love her at 3! :)
~
Reagan was very excited to find purple balloons all over her floor when she woke up
Reagan enjoyed the donuts she picked out especially for her birthday breakfast
After opening a couple of birthday presents and taking Daddy to work we picked up Aunt Dorothy, Heidi and Holden and headed to the Louisville Zoo for a fun day!

The girls playing on the baby elephant by the elephant exhibit

Kennedy sat herself down to watch the zebras - she was sitting there so contentedly until I disturbed her and then thought to snap a quick picture

Pointing to the Wooly Monkeys
We had lunch at one of the playgrounds and discovered we had a little monkey of our own
or maybe we had three little monkeys along with us... :)
Aunt Dorothy and Holden with the tiger - this was Holden's first zoo trip
Aunt Dorothy, Holden, Heidi and Reagan with the tiger (I wish he wasn't so far off but you can still kind of see the tiger stopped and posed so perfectly, looking right at the camera, for this picture)
I did not take this picture but I think it is hilarious! lol :) Aunt Dorothy was walking along and happenned to look down at Heidi and Holden and announced "I think Holden's (6mon) thighs are as big or bigger than Heidi's (3 yrs)." Looking at the picture, I do believe she is right! lol :)
Holden and Aunt Dorothy with the baby and Mommy giraffe in the background
The girls liked the baby giraffe (born in January of this year) so much we actually had to stop and see the giraffe's on our way in and again on our way out of the zoo
After the zoo we dropped of Aunt Dorothy, Heidi and Holden and ran home to get the cool birthday balloons and flowers from Uncle Scott and Aunt Arla before heading to Chick-Fil-A for dinner with Daddy. Uncle Dan, Aunt Dorothy, Heidi and Holden also met us for dinner. Thank you guys for spending the day with us and helping make it a special one for Reagan! :)
Opening a few last presents before bed
Reagan Elizabeth you are a super special little girl and we thank God for the blessing of you in our lives every day! :)
