Saturday, May 15, 2010 - Pool, Happily Ever After Dinner, and The Magic Kingdom

The Pool
~
Saturday morning we started out by having a nice leisurely day at the pool. We ate lunch at the resort and took naps before heading out to do anything. It was a nice and relaxing way to begin our vacation and as you can see the girls love the water! :)

Daddy and his girls :)

Sweet sisters! :) They did this all on their own, without any prompting from me, on our way back from the pool to our room. I thought it looked so precious! :)
Happily Ever After Dinner
~
After naps we headed over to the Grand Floridian for Cinderella's "Happily Ever After" dinner to meet the stars of the movie Cinderella, including Prince Charming! :)
~
Missy K very proud of her crown :)
Watching and waiting for Prince Charming to make it to our table
By far the the person Reagan was most excited about meeting during our trip to Disney World was Prince Charming. I worked really hard to get us reservations at the only meal/place where you can meet him at the entire resort. All I can think is because Prince Charming is such an enormous deal to her that it was completely overwhelming to her little system. She had I don't know how many tantrums in the lobby while we waited to come into the dining room. Prince Charming was the first character to come to our table and she didn't want to have her picture taken with him. Given that she was dressed up like Cinderella, maybe it's appropriate that I have a picture of her running away from Prince Charming...
Reagan was very happy to see Cinderella :)
Reagan also thought the Wicked Stepmother was pretty cool and funny
Prince Charming may have made Reagan nervous but she loved the Wicked Stepsisters! :)

Reagan wanted to tell them they could take turns dancing with Prince Charming. Here she is telling her she can dance with him for "1 minute."

Before we got there Reagan had told me that Cinderella and Prince Charming would dance. I told her I wasn't sure we would get to see them dance but sure enough they did! It was very sweet. :)
While Prince Charming danced with Cinderella (and all the other little princesses) Reagan enjoyed her time dancing with the silly stepsisters who kept leaping across the room and spinning
The Monorail broke down on our way to the Magic Kingdom... :) It wasn't too terribly long but it was longer than we would have liked. At least everyone was safe and sound and it was just due to technical difficulties. :)
The Magic Kingdom
~
I love this picture of Tim and Kennedy in front of Cinderella's Castle :)
After a bit of a wait we made it on to our first ride - Dumbo! :)
Reagan waiting very seriously for the ride to begin :)
After riding Dumbo we wanted to make sure we had the opportunity to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse for Kennedy. She gets very excited anytime she sees a picture of Mickey and loved them both on the cruise last October. Kennedy ended up being a little bit shy (not to worry we have great pics and video coming from another day). In the meantime Reagan was very happy to see Minnie and Mickey Mouse again! :)
A family shot with Minnie and Mickey
After a long line and hot day Kennedy wasn't quite sure she was ready to give Minnie Mouse a big hug yet ;)
Reagan was more than happy to give Minnie Mouse another big hug before we left, however!!! :)
We checked out both Minnie and Mickey's houses a couple of times while we were there. Here Reagan is checking to see if Minnie Mouse has any important messages on her answering machine.
After visiting Mickey and Minnie Mouse we went to find a seat to watch "Spectro Magic" formerly known as the Electrical Parade. You do have to wait for a while but at least we could sit and the girls loved all the lights and characters. After the parade we had time to use our Winnie the Pooh Fast Passes before catching the fireworks. We received a hint to watch the fireworks behind Cinderella's castle. That worked out nicely since it wasn't nearly as crowded. :)
~
We were planning to head out right away but Reagan saw the Mad Hatter's Tea Party and really wanted to check it out. So, the last ride (or rather rides - the line was short and the girls were loving it so we went a couple of times) for the day was the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. A wild and crazy ride for my wild and crazy girls! :)
~
Kennedy figured out how to spin the teacup right away - no coaching necessary! :)
Daddy gave us a big spin which required everyone to hold on tight!!! :)
The girls had the spinning all under control so Daddy could just sit back and relax lol :)
It was a long busy day with some relaxation thrown in for good measure too. ;) The girls were funny and seemed to be better behaved the latter it got. Go figure... Many more cute and smiley pics to come! :)
