Since it was rainy outside yesterday we decided to try another science experiment. The Kellys and Sligers gave the girls gift certificates to Discovery Depot (a really cool toy store in Cookeville) for Christmas. After we had pictures taken last Saturday we went to Discovery Depot to see what we could find. Between the gift certificates we and some additional funds from Grammy we got all sorts of cool things! One of the items we purchased was a science experiment kit. Yesterday we decided to make some "Glowing Slime." It was interesting and very messy but cleaned up amazingly easily (it brushed right off the girls clothing too). It didn't glow very much, however, so I'm not sure what we did wrong on that front (we did go into a completely dark room). Over all it was a fun way to spend some time exploring a new texture especially since the texture was continually changing (solid when it was on a surface and wet and sloppy when you picked it up). The girls had fun adding water to the mixture to see how it changed the consistency of the slime too. So, enjoy some nice, messy slimey pictures of the girls! :)

After the girls mixed it all up it was time to explore their new creation (sorry I didn't really get any good shots of mixing - it was hard to take pictures in general they and I were such a mess)

While they may have been a little unsure about it at first they obviously became very comfortable with their slime. lol :) Thank you Kellys, Sligers and Grammy for one of a number of cool gifts - I'm sure we'll be using this kit a lot in the future to try out many different kinds of creations and experiments! :)
