NKOTBSB Concert

A big reason for being in Tennesee the week of June 20 was the NKOTBSB (New Kids on the Block Back Street Boys) Concert. Kelly and I were absolutely crazy about NKOTB when we were tweens. Crazy really doesn't begin to cover it. We were hyperfocused on these guys including learning their dance moves and dancing in our backyards (never mind the fact there were two of us and five of them - although we did sometime enlist younger girls on our streets to join us...) Kelly was Jordan and Donnie and I was Joey and Danny and we took turns being Jon as needed. We were truly ridiculous. Anyhoo... our parents didn't ever let us go to a concert. We were completely devasted when they were in Nashville and didn't get to go. This was probably the single most traumatic event in either one of our childhoods. I know, I know but I said we were crazy and ridiculous already, right? Anyhoo, on Tuesday, June 21, our dreams came true as we finally made it to our first New Kids concert. It was awesome and we had an amazing time! Here we are before the concert - how exciting!!! :)We went with two other friends too. I love this picture since Holly was my maid of honor and Kelly was my matron of honor. Going to the concert wouldn't have been the same without my childhood best friends! :)We had floor seats that were pretty good. The end of the stage rose up in front of us and gave us som great views! :)I had to take a picture or two of the Back Street Boys as well even though I was through my "boy band" phase by the time they came along. They still have a lot of good songs which I enjoyed and made the concert fun! :)Back to our boys lol :)Kelly's favorite - Donnie WahlbergJonathan Knight came off the sate and down the aisle right where we were. It was awesome! Poor Holly didn't realize why we were all running into the aisle but was please to learn we ran her into Jon. lol :)To say we were a little excited would have been the understatement of the evening (or maybe even year)...This is the hand Kelly touched Jon withHolly was excited too (once we explained what had happenned)Jordan Knight singing near the end of the concert We had the time of our lives at this concert - it was everything I think we had always dreamed it would be. It was so awesome that the next day Kelly and I booked tickets for our 2nd NKOTB concert the very next day for the next month. We couldn't wait to get back and see them perform again! :)
