Sam and Carrie's Wedding

The reason we selected the week we did to visit California is because some of our friends from DC were getting married in Laguna Beach. They had one of the most amazing weddings I've ever attended. Everything was incredible and Sam and Carrie are such wonderful people you just can't help but be happy for them. We wish them all the very best in their marriage as they truly deserve each other!I thought this was so cute of Kennedy watching the bride having her pictures takenSam and Carrie had their picture taken at every table with all of their guests. Reagan refused to be in that picture because she wanted her own picture with Ms Carrie. :)Kennedy wanted her picture take as well but wanted to kneel down the same as Ms Carrie. Kennedy was completely enamoured with Carrie all evening. Everytime she would see her she would exclaim "I see the bride!!!" or "There's the bride!!!" like she had just spotted Mickey Mouse or some other childhood celebraty. It was so precious! :)These 4 guys worked together on Boeing's Missile Defense System's National Team. From left to right we have Tim, Sam (who still lives in DC), John (better known as Malek who now lives in Seattle but recently moved back to the US from Italy) and Rob (who currently lives in Japan). Malek is an enormous tease and loves to get under people's skin. As hard as he tried he couldn't fluster Reagan a bit. She just went right on with her stories and/or laughed at him. It was hilarious. Here they are enjoying coloring with part of the gift Carrie and Sam gave to the girls (Carrie put full gift bags together with the names of each child who attended the wedding).Missy K decided she needed to wear her place tag as a name tag - what a little goof ball!Sam and Carrie did a beautiful first dance together. You could really tell how in love they are. My crew enjoyed getting in on the dancing too of course! Here's Missy K, my twirly girl :)Reagan and Jackson loved dancing togetherI LOVE these pictures of Reagan and Tim dancing together. I can so see using these for a wedding slideshow someday. LOVE IT!!! :)What a happy, sweet and cute baby boy! :)Carrie and Sam had a lovely cake. I guess Kennedy thought it looked pretty yummy as well because during the cake cutting she managed to get right in the middle of the action. Tim had taken Reagan to the bathroom and where I was sitting I couldn't see them cutting the cake. We both thought the other person had Kennedy... I was completely mortified on two accounts. The first was that Kennedy was in the middle of such an important moment and the second was that we had no idea where she was and didn't even realize it. Carrie and Sam were so sweet about the whole thing. They said Kennedy had been really sweet. I'm sure she was sweet and did just want a piece of cake vs Reagan who would have been up there trying to tell every story she could remember but still I felt terrible. I obviously didn't know how exactly in the middle of things Kennedy was, but when I was apologizing to Carrie she told me it was no problem she just fed Sam some cake and then she fed Kennedy some cake. I seriously could have died... Thank you Sam and Carrie for being so super sweet! If we didn't know it before, you definitely proved you two are the nicest people in the entire world!Carrie's flowers were gorgeous. These were some of the flowers that were on our table. Everything was just so beautiful!Sam listening to Reagan's history of injuries from the summer. Sam is so sweet, Tim said we should actually start asking each other "What Would Sam DO?" I have never heard him say a negative thing about anyone or any situation. He is seriously the most optimistic person on the face of the earth. To prove this point, he actually told us our kids are mellow before we left. I told him he is the only person in the world who would tell me my children were mellow. Especially after Missy K inserted herself into the middle of the cake cutting. Not the best family picture ever but sometimes you just take what you can get! :)Thank you Sam and Carrie for including us in your special day! Everything was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time! We wish you every happiness for many many many years to come!
