Reagan's 1st Gymnastics Meet

The end of February, Reagan participated in her first gymnastics meet. As well as her regular gymnastic class she participates in a league team that gives the girls a small taste of what the actual team competitions will be like should they choose to compete. Reagan had a great time and loves every minute of her time in the gym! Here she is warming up. This picture makes it look like she's running fast but she's seriously such a slow runner it's comical. Bless her heart! :)
For their bar routine the girls did a pullover, back hip circle and then dismounted.
Here she is "casting" for the back hip circle
The best part of being in the big gym is the chalk you get to play in, right?
Mounting the beam
Reagan practices handstands all the time around the house and tells us pretty frequently that "handstands are the most important thing in gymnastics."
Talking to Coach Osh before beginning her floor routine - so sweet :)
Another handstand
Running for her vaultWhile they did score the girls they didn't rank them. Since it was their first experince with a competition they gave everyone a medal, t-shirt and goody bag.
Reagan was extremely proud of herself
Reagan was at least as excited about the water Grammy purchased for her from the vending machine as she was about her medal. She wanted to know if the next time she competed she could get both a snack and a drink from the vending machines. It's always good to know your kids have their priorities straight. lol :)
Thank you Grammy and Grand-Dad for making a special trip and changing prior engagements in order to be at Reagan's first meet with us. Thank you to Grand-Dad for all the awesome pictures he took of Reagan! Thank you also to Uncle Dan and Aunt Dorothy who kept Kennedy and Jackson so we could all enjoy and actually watch the girls compete.
