Watt Mardi Gras Party

After Reagan's gymnastic meet, we went to a fun Mardi Gras party the girl's friend Evie was throwing. It was the first Mardi Gras party we've ever been too (including me) and we had a great time! Ms. Bethany is from Louisiana so it was a lot of fun to try out all the traditional food and share in the festivities. They had masks and beads for all the guests and Reagan predictably chose purple and Kennedy green. :)After supper, Ms. Bethany explained the tradition of the Three Kings Cake. Then everyone dug into this yummy dessert searching for the baby in order to win a special prize.Once the baby had been found and everyone was finished eating the kids all donned tons of beads and had a Mardi Gras parade for all of us. Here is Sarah enjoying her plethora of beads.
Here's the parade coming through (you can see Reagan and Kennedy in the back)
Once the parade was over the kids decided the music should continue so they could have a big dance party. They were pretty entertaining to watch. :)

Thank you for inviting us to such a fun party! We had a wonderful time and hope to celebrate Mardi Gras Louisiana style in the future with you as well! :)
