Valentine's Day 2012

We had lots of fun celebrating Valentine's at home too. Tuesdays are the only day of the week without any regular scheduled activities so it made it easy to plan lots of holiday activities for the day. Some of the fun began when Uncle Scott sent Reagan a balloon and flowers. When she saw the green card attached she thought it might be from her Prince Charming, Peter Pan. She was still very excited when she found out it was from Uncle Scott. Missy K wondered if Uncle Scott sent her flowers too so we went and picked out green chocolate kisses and some cool green shamrock straws from Uncle Scott. Thank you Aunt Arla and Uncle Scott for the Valentine's fun!
We had a couple of Valentine's books we had been reading during the preceeding weeks. We have several of this series of books for various holidays and famous people. They are such great books for explaining the basics of any given holiday. I would highly recommend them for any little guys out there!
We used the fingernail decals the Veloudis' gave us the day before to create beautiful Valentine's Day fingernails. Kennedy selected various animals and Reagan went with all hearts. So cute and fun! :)
We created a special Valentine's shaped lunch
The girls even enjoyed hot chocolate with special heart shaped marshmellows from Aunt Arla
When Jackson went down for his nap the girls took over my scrapbooking station to create Valentine's to hang in the kitchen for decorations. They had a great time and ended up spending several afternoons that week making their beautiful creations.

Kennedy and Reagan loved having Valentine's cards from Grandma and Grandpa to open. The girls were especially excited to discover Valentine's money inside! Thanks so much!!!
We also decided to bake some special "chocolate hamburgers" Aunt Arla sent in a Valentine's package
They could not wait to have the sprinkles applied so they could eat all the leftovers
Ready to eat!
Jackson thought the "chocolate hamburgers" were pretty yummy too! :)
Daddy brought Jackson a Toy Story balloon for Valentine's. To say Jackson has loved the balloon would be a serious understatement. It's still floating around and he's still playing with it 2 months later!
The girls both received roses from Daddy - so sweet!
Giving and getting some sisterly love before opening Valentine's gifts
One of the favorite things the girls received for Valentine's were "Osh" socks. Osh is one of their favorite gymnastics coaches and she always wears bright mismatched socks. The girls now wear "Osh" socks all the time and the blue/pink combo is probably their favorite. They've even coordinated their socks with Osh a couple of times so they can all three match with their mismatched socks! lol :)
Jackson and Reagan love and adore each other too! :)
We know it's exceedingly late, but we hope everyone had as much fun celebrating Valentine's Day as we did this year! :)
