Jackson's biggest news for the month is the arrival of a tooth with a second one well on the way. That is a record for our family of slow teeth growers! He's been a bit fussy for that reason and would really like to get up every couple of hours at night and let us know all about it. lol :) After a lot of hard work (and bouncing from Daddy) I think we've convinced him his life doesn't depend on a 2:00 feeding. For the most part he's only getting up twice a night now which is great for us! Maybe because of all that middle of the night bonding time, Jackson is becoming Daddy's little buddy. He is so excited when Tim comes home and completely distraught if Tim doesn't pick him up right away. Jackson also loves to snuggle up to Tim when he's holding him and put his head on his shoulder. I need to get a picture of it because my two guys are so sweet together. Despite the teething, Jackson is a super sweet and happy little guy the majority of the time. His grin is very quick and easy and I believe he is going to be a morning person. He is so happy and excited when he wakes up in the morning. I wish I had his vigor and vim for life as soon as I woke up! :) You just can't help scooping him up and loving him because there's nothing else to do with a little person who is so adorable and precious! :) Jackson is becoming a very indpendent little man. He loves to eat but wants to feed himself. He is up to 3 meals of cereal/veggies or fruit per day + some sort of snack he can feed himself between bites from us (or rather we sneak in the bites). Jackson practically refuses to eat unless there are options on his highchair for him to feed himself. He literally yells at you if he runs out of things to feed himself. It's pretty funny. lol :) While he eats Gerber Puffs and Yogurt Melts, his favorite food is the Gerber Graduates Veggie Dip Lil' Crunchies. He has also discovered/shown us that he is a big boy and wants to drink out of a sippy cup. He kept trying to get the girl's sippy cups so we decided to give him one and he took right to it so there you go! No bottles for this baby, he is a big boy, thank you very much!!! He is also sitting up extremely well now. You can nearly set him down and feel completely comfortable walking away. He's pretty good at getting around the room by rolling but I don't see a whole lot of progress towards crawling at this point. That's alright by us though as it's nice not to have to worry about him getting away so quickly and it's especially nice not to have to worry about steps quite yet. While Reagan has been saying for months that Jackson is saying her name (ha ha ha), now Tim thinks he's heard (da) a couple of times and Grand-Dad thinks Jackson's trying to say kitty (which was Reagan's first word). I've heard some of what they're talking about but I'm not quite as convinced that it's intentional. It's always fun to see how he interacts with everyone, however, and what different aspects of his personality everyone brings out. We sure feel blessed to have such a sweet and happy baby boy in our family!
