One of our activities in the preschool class I teach at the BHLC on Thursdays was making Goo for the letter "G." Some of the kids loved it, others weren't sure about it and a couple flat out refused to touch it. As you can probably guess from the pictures below, Missy K was one of the kids who loved it! She had a great time making it and then played and played and played in it. We brought some home with us where she continued to play with it on Friday. This is such a cool sensory activity for kids because the Blue Goo keeps changing states from solid to liquid and back again.
As soon as you try and pick up the Blue Goo it feels solid.
Once you're holding the Blue Goo it turns into a liquid and runs out of your hand.
I was surprised when Tim decided to check out the Blue Goo because I think of him as a mess free kind of guy. He says we don't give him enough credit though and he enjoys checking out our projects. :)
Daddy trying to keep the Blue Goo from turning back to a liquid by keeping it moving between his fingers.
Grand-Dad and Jackson decided they wanted to check it out too

If anyone is interested in making this, I would highly recommend it! It's 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part water (so a cup of cornstarch for every 1/2 cup of water). You can add any color you want but we thought it would be fun to make Blue Goo from the Dr. Seuss book "Fox in Socks." It looks messy, but it's really not, because as soon as it hits the counter (or floor) it solidifies and is very easy to pick up and dispose of. Hope some of you have fun with this! :)
