After returning home from the violin workshop, we determined it was time to get busy carving pumpkins (after all Halloween was only 2 days away!). The girls were big helpers carrying the pumpkins and getting them into position in our cleaning area.
As you can see from her face, Kennedy Ellen was not at all sure about what was inside her pumpkin.
Not sure at all...
Grammy hopped right in and started showing the girls how it was done. Just stick your hand in and grab those pumpkin guts!
Pumpkin carving is so much fun! :)
Then we cut Reagan's top which she enjoyed pulling off by herself.
Jackson was curious about what the commotion was about and what exactly was inside our pumpkins.
What is this?
Busy hands and happy hearts - especially Mom's :)
Seriously, you want me to do what???
Alright, I'll try it...
After screwing up her courage, Missy K was pretty proud of herself for helping Grammy out.
Then we were even able to convince Missy K to be silly with the pumpkin guts and pretend she was taking a big bite. Yum! :)
His sisters might not have been sure what to think about this process but Mr. Jackson loved it and we loved watching him explore!

I love this picture! Jackson desperately wanted to try a bite of the pumpkin innards but Tim especially kept telling him no. Jackson just sat there like this watching for the moment when Daddy looked away and he could sneak a taste. Too funny! lol :)
We thought Jackson was going to help Grammy and/or check out what she was doing.
It turned out he wanted his own spoon to work on the pumpkin with. Go Jackson go!
Nope, not interested in working, but maybe Daddy will let me eat with a spoon if he won't let me eat with my hands???
Teamwork :)
Once the pumpkins were cleaned out it was time for us to get busy carving our Green Bay Packer Pumpkins. Thank you to Aunt Arla for finding and sending us the Packer Pumpkin carving kit! :)
I have some super cool nightime pictures coming up of our completed pumpkins! :)
