Aunt Julie's Bridal Shower

The primary reason we visited Mt. Olive earlier in December this year for Christmas instead of over New Years was to help with Aunt Julie's bridal shower. She's getting married to Uncle Chuck the beginning of February and we're looking forward to sharing their big day with them!

Reagan was very confused by the idea of the shower. When I first brought it up earlier in the week Reagan wanted to know what was wrong with Aunt Julie's current shower. I tried to explain that it was a party and time to give Aunt Julie gifts before she got married, Tim tried to explain it, Grandma and Aunt Julie tried to explain it but she just couldn't figure it out. The first thing she asked Aunt Julie when we got to the church Saturday morning was "Can I see your shower?" Aunt Julie showed her the room and she still couldn't get it figured out. Finally Grandma decided to sidetrack Reagan and her line of questioning by suggesting they go look at the church and see where they were going to walk down the aisle. Reagan thought this was a great idea and after practicing walking down the aisle she wanted to know if she could come to Aunt Julie's wedding. lol :) Poor Reagan I guess all this wedding stuff is just a little confusing... lol :) Karlie practicing being a flower girl too
Missy K refused to practice, I have a feeling this may be a sign of things to come regarding her willingness to be a flower girl...
Grandma, Aunt Jean and Aunt Denise
Aunt Julie and silly Kennedy
Reagan was excited to help out by collecting the envelopes everyone wrote their addresses on
Karlie decided she wanted to help too - what a team!
Kennedy thought it was a better idea to eat the chocolate dipped pretzels :)
Aunt Julie and her maid of honour, Jamie
Aunt Julie had a couple of little helpers with her gifts
Kennedy decided this kind of helping was more her speed
or maybe not... those cupcakes were a bit too tempting to worry about Aunt Julie's presents...
Three cute girls (who I believe were hiding together)

Betsey, one of the other bridesmaids did a great job of organizing the rest of us and the shower - thanks Betsey!

Saturday evening Kayci and I joined Aunt Julie and the rest of her bridemaids and some other girlfriends for dinner in St. Louis for her Bachlorette party.
Thank you for including us in your wedding Aunt Julie! We're looking forward to seeing you all in less than a month to help you celebrate your marriage! :)

  1. Lili is so tiny next to Jackson! But what beautiful babies they both are! And what sweet pics of the girls at the shower! They are so precious!! You are so amazing at including everyone and everything in your photography - I always feel like I've been wherever you were when you do a blog post! I guess that's why I love your blog so much - it keeps me so clued in on what's happening in your family! xoxoxox Grammy
