Christmas Eve

Before going to Christmas Eve services we decided to try and get a few family pictures and I was amazing at how easily it went and how well the pictures turned out. Yay! :)
I think this was an awesome family picture of us especially since we were just using a timer and had no assistance in getting everyone to look the right direction! :)
Grammy, Grand-dad and their cute kiddos
Dad has always worn these types of caps so when I saw this little one I had to get it for Jackson to wear with his Grand-dad. I think this is one of my favorite pics of Jackson so far with anyone. Love it!!! :)
Mendelossohn is our Christmas kitty and has always loved our Christmas trees. I'm sure Christmas is his favorite time of year because of the opportunity to sleep under trees. This picture should have gone with our Christmas scenes post but I forgot about it and it was too cute to leave it out all together. :)

Daddy and his boy :)
We decided to open a few more family gifts when we got home from church and leave just the Santa gifts for Christmas morning. This again worked really well since the girls had time to explore their new books and toys.

A rousing rendition of playing and singing favorite Christmas Carols together
After opening gifts and playing for a while we all got into our matching reindeer PJs and went outside to the feed the reindeer. Reagan carefully spread hers while Kennedy promptly turned the bowl upside down and dumped it in one big heap. I thought it was an accident so I quickly scooped it back up for her. She looked at me and immidiately dumped it all out again... lol :)
The girls being silly and "striking a pose"
Daddy helped Jackson come check out and join the craziness outside :)
Grammy, Mom, Kennedy and Jackson posing in our matching reindeer PJs after distributing the reindeer food
The girls set out the sugar cookies they made for Santa with Grammy as well as some cookies for Hermie to enjoy after all his hard work. :)
Everyone waved good-bye to our elf, Hermie, one more time before he ate his cookies and flew back to the North Pole for the year. Thanks for visiting us Hermie!

Since we've been married Tim started a tradition of always seeing Charles Dicken's "The Christmas Carol." This year we had trouble getting tickets and since the girls aren't really big enough to go yet anyway, we decided to get the Muppet's version of "The Christmas Carol" and watch as a family for the first time Christmas Eve. It was really nice and I think we've decided we're going to continue this tradition until all the kids are old enough for us to begin seeing the play together as a family. I love having family traditions (even when they need to be modified a tad)! :)

  1. The amazing thing that Anna didn't point out before these pics is that right now Kennedy doesn't like the camera, but for some reason on Christmas eve when she came downstairs all dressed up and saw the camera, she hopped up in the chair and said"Take pictures!" And so we did! And it was a wonderful Christmas Eve! Thanks so much for letting us be a art of it! We Love you! Grammy

  2. I forgot about that! Probably because I wasn't there when she said it. She's such a little nut! Thanks for sharing the story and thanks for getting the pictures set up and taken! Thank you also for coming and being a part of our holiday celebrations! :)
