A Week With Grammy

Grammy spent the first week of her Christmas break with us in December. It was awesome to have her around and as you can see we had lots of fun and kept very busy!
~
These are two of my favorite pictures of the week!

Kennedy has really gotten into puzzles lately. One of the things Grammy did through out the week was give the girl gifts. She gave Kennedy a puzzle one evening and she has loved putting it together ever since!
Yay! We completed the puzzle!
And so she took it apart and did it again, and again, and again... Thank you Grammy for being so patient! :)
Yay again! It's just as exciting every time!!! :)
Super Yay!!!
This puzzle came with a book which Kennedy also enjoyed reading with Grammy
On Monday morning Grammy and the girls got busy making her famous sugar cookies. They are so yummy! Absolutely the best!
~
Grammy had made the dough ahead of time so the girls could get right to work rolling out the dough and cutting out the cookies.

As much fun as it was to help make the cookies both girls were obsessed with just eating the dough. lol :)

I love this picture of Grammy and Kennedy discussing what cookie to cut out next
We decided Jackson should help out with Grammy's sugar cookies too! :)

While the cookies baked Grammy gave the girls some wonder color paints to play with. What an orgainzed Grammy who knows how to keep kids entertained and the fun going! :)
Time to frost and sugar all those yummy cookies!
Look at those sugar shaking skills!

Reagan did some creative detail work on the Christmas trees as well as the snowmen, gingerbread men and reindeer.
One of Reagan's gingerbread men :)
The girls couldn't wait to dig in and eat those super yummy cookies!
Our very colorful and original batch of sugar cookies
These were the cookies the girls selected to save for Santa. I am sure Santa appreciated all of Grammy, Reagan and Kennedy's efforts!
Grammy got the girls these cute snowmen frame art projects to make. Grammy helped Kennedy while Reagan worked on her own.
Reagan especially liked gluing snowflakes on hers
On Tuesday morning we went to Barnes and Noble as usual for storytime. We were surprised to learn that Santa was visiting that day too. The girls were just a little excited to see Santa for the 4th time, what lucky kiddos!

Jackson was able to sit on Santa's lap again too but he really enjoys his Grammy time and snuggles the best
The girls worked on their Santa art projects for a little while but were a bit distracted by the excitement of Santa actually being there :)
Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jennifer sent the girls a new farm puzzle for Christmas. Everyone sat right down to work on putting it together.
Grammy had to leave on Wednesday to go home and pick up Granddad. Lucky for us she wasn't gone long though as she turned right around and came back on Thursday. lol :) Thank you so much for coming and spending the week with us Grammy! We had a fantastic time and appreciated everything you did and all the time you spent with us! :)
