Disneyland - Day 1

I love this picture of Reagan and Rory in front of Splash Mountain (Reagan's first big ride). I guess it's actually a great picture to start my Disney posts with. Having said that... it drives me crazy that I didn't upload it in the right place in this post! It's so much work to delete everything and put it in the appropriate spot (I only noticed it was missing after I had finished uploading, labeling and deleting spaces between the pictures). Is it possible to rearrange photos and/or copy and paste words? And is there anyway to upload pictures without getting tons of space between each picture that you then have to go back and delete? If I have any blog readers who know how to do any of this, and could tell me, I would be forever grateful! But I digress... in the meantime... please enjoy these pictures of our first day at Disneyland! :)
On July 5th, we headed up to Anaheim to spend a couple of days at Disneyland. It also happened to be Stacy's birthday and we were so appreciative of her willingness to run around with our crazy crew on her special day. Happy Birthday Aunt Stacy! We began our visit by heading to California Adventure. Our Disney Visa card got us into a special (translation "no line") meet-and-greet with Pluto. I'm really glad we were able to get a good group picture at least once during our vacation! :)Reagan, Rory, Kennedy, Riley and Jackson with PlutoWe needed a picture of the birthday girl with Pluto too! :)Jackson was actully not at all sure about Pluto (I tried to get a picture of just our three kids and Jackson was NOT having it!) so I had to sneak a picture of him hanging on to Daddy for dear life while Pluto tried to be his friend. Thanks for being so patient Pluto!A new favorite show of the girls is "Jake and the Neverland Pirates." As such, when I found out they have joined the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" show I knew it was something we would need to catch. All the kids had a great time (even Jackson seemed to be dancing at times) but it was hard (impossible) to get good pictures! :(Reagan thought these apples were really cool and wanted me to take a picture of them. I don't know what amazed me more the decorations or the $10 price tag!We met the Mad Hatter! :)After lunch, Tim took Kennedy and Jackson back to the hotel for a nap and we stayed at California Adventure Park to do a couple of rides. Then we headed over to Disneyland (one of the nicest things about Disneyland vs Disneyworld is you can walk from one theme park to another) to try and catch a couple of the big roller coasters (Reagan was so excited she was big enough to ride on basically everything!) before the little kids came back. As soon as we walked in we saw Sleeping Beauty! After naps while the big kids rode Space Mountain Jackson, Kennedy and I caught the afternoon character parade. I haven't been a huge fan of the afternoon parades in the past but I have to admit it was really cute and both kids enjoyed it tremendously! :) We caught a couple more rides in the evening and finished off the day with the show "Fantasmic" which was lots of fun! Thanks for sharing your birthday with us Aunt Stacy! :)

  1. If you put your post in 'edit' mode as you are working, you can move things around by copy and paste. It is on the tab on your post near the photo upload button. It puts it into HTML mode. I find that the best way to delete a lot of the extra spacings and such. I have also moved words and pics by the cut and paste method in that mode. Hope that helps some. Glad you had fun in CA.
