Disneyland - Day 2

I snapped this picture of our merry crew in front of our "Castle" motel on our way to spend our second day at Disneyland.Reagan and Kennedy in t-shirts and princess mouse ears from Grammy. I tried to get a picture of Jackson in his Mickey Mouse outfit but he didn't want any part of sitting with his sisters!Thank you for the gift card Grammy! You made two little girls very happy! :)Rory and Riley sporting their new t-shirts from Great Aunt Sherry (our Grammy)When we came into Disneyland Wednesday morning we saw AliceI wish this picture wasn't blurry but I still think it's cute of Tim and all three kids heading down Mainstreet.Rily having fun with Daddy during the wait for Space MountainWhile the big kids rode Space Moutain Daddy took Kennedy and Jackson to ride the Astro Orbiter. When he got the front of the line they informed him Jackson would need to wear shoes and/or socks. Anyone who knows my husband knows this nearly killed him. He had to get out of line and go to 3 (count them 3) different stores before he located toddler Minnie Mouse socks for him to wear. Hilarious!!! lol :) Poor Tim. In the meantime, since we couldn't locate him when we got off Space Mountain we got in line for the Astro Orbiter ourselves. I wanted a picture of Sleeping Beauty's Castle but Reagan obviously wasn't in the mood and neither was Kennedy for that matter. I should have just taken the picture with Rory - he is always ready with a great smile! :)While everyone else went to ride Thunder Mountain Kennedy, Jackson and I decided to take a ride on the boat around Tom Sawyers island.Kennedy throughly enjoyed a sucker (or two...) during our boat ride Rich captured this great family picture of us on the Pirate's of the Carribean rideJackson in the Pirate's gift shop loving a baseballRory and Riley came across a band of pirates and had a particularily good time with this one :)Reagan decided to join in the fun and after telling a few of her stories she and Riley and the pirate all showed off their muscles for the camera.Love this picture of Daddy with his two little guys while waiting in line for the Haunted MansionJackson sporting Riley's new Goofy Pirate hat. I may be a bit biased but I think this picture is absolutely adorable!!! :)As we were walking I noticed this might be a good shot of Space Mountain in the background. Reagan was extremely excited about being tall enough to ride all 4 Disney Mountains (Space, Splash, Matterhorn and Thunder Mountain) but she has talked about Space Mountain the most by far. It was also Stacy's first time to ride Space Mountain as it has always been close on her prior trips. What kind of luck is that? In anycase we all enjoyed the ride! :)We saw Goofy as we were headed out of the park for an afternoon nap break. I think this picture is priceless of Riley and Kennedy giving him such a big hug! :)I really wanted this Goofy picture because my parents have a picture somewhere of two of my Carlson cousins with Andrew and me during our first trip to Disneyworld. It's kind of neat to have my kids sharing the same experiences with their cousins nearly 25 years later! :)On our way back into the park we decided to take a detour into Coldstone Creamery. Yum!Jackson loves all big people food but he makes sure he is never left out when it comes to ice cream! When we came back into the park we decided to watch the afternoon parade. Kennedy plopped down next to Aunt Stacy and leaned up against her. I just thought this was so so so sweet! :)Riley enjoying the paradeKennedy waving to the pricessesThe princess float was pretty cool with this big Rapunzel tower as the centerpiece around which all the princesses stood or sat.Peter Pan was busy fighting pirates during the paradeand then he bounced right up to talk to RileyWhile I was busy looking to see if I had gotten a picture of Peter Pan with Riley (which I obviously didn't - sometimes I seriously need to put the camera down and pay attention to what's happening around me!!!) before I knew what was happening Peter Pan circled back to Reagan. He bounded right up and asked "Are you a princess?" Reagan honestly responded "No" to which he replied "Are you sure? You sure look like one!" It was very cute especially since our last experience with Peter Pan he told her to come and visit him in Neverland. Thank you Stacy for being quicker with your camera than me!After the parade we headed to Toon Town to see Mickey Mouse. Reagan was extremely excited because it was Steamboat Willy (sort of anyway it was the props and modern Mickey was dressed in black and white). She noticed Steamboat Willy on some of our videos at home and she was very excited to see him make an appearance on the steamboat at the end of Fantasmic last year at Disneyworld. You can see all the big kids were extremely excited and ran right up to give Mickey lots of hugs! :) Our little Mickey Mack checking out Mickey Mouse. Jackson wasn't terrified of Mickey Mouse but he wasn't exactly impressed either... lol :)All 5 kids with Mickey (sorry about cutting you out Tim but you're not a kid!)Our family picture with Mickey Mouse. Not awesome but not terrible. I have a program that I'm really hoping I'm going to be able to use to clone a better face on Kennedy. It probably won't work quite right anyway but oh well... I feel certain we'll get an awesome Mickey Mouse picture on our Disney Cruise in October 2012.The most adorable little cowboy in the West!Waving to Daddy as we get readdy to take off on Missy K's first roller coaster ride. She loved it! I wish we'd had time to do the Matterhorn Mountain roller coaster again because she was tall enough for it and I think she would have loved a "big" roller coaster even more. There's always next time! These two pictures crack me up. Stacy wanted a picture of the boys and I have a whole series of pictures of Rory looking every direction in every possible position except for looking at the camera. Case in point...I can't remember what Stacy offerred Rory but all of a sudden there was a different 3 year old in this fire truck all smiles and at attention. lol :)Our last ride at Disneyland was an "Alice in Wonderland" ride. It was really cute but I think the kids were just about done with the lines. Then I remembered I had books in my backpack! It's amazing how giving kids a direction for their attention works wonders! We had a great time at Disneyland! The proximity of the two parks to each other was awesome! It was also great that we could easily walk to and from our hotel. Don't get me wrong, the shuttle service at Disneyworld is awesome but it's really great to be able to walk straight to your room whenever you want. I also have to say I believe the So Cal weather is a bit nicer than sunny humid Florida. It was also a lot of fun to be traveling with other kids and having the ability to split up. It was just a great time! All in all a much better Disney experience for us than last May!
