X-Mas in July

Grammy and Grand-Dad came to visit us the last weekend in July. On Friday the girls had asked if we could watch "The Polar Express" so I suggested we have a Christmas in July celebration with Grammy and Grand-Dad. Grammy thought that was a great idea and even had a couple of gifts for the girl. The girls were very excited to see "Grammy Clause" coming down the stairs with gifts on Saturday. :)Kennedy had picked out this baby doll during a shopping trip to Target and would not put it down. It's rare that you can't convince Kennedy to put something back and she was determined she needed this baby. She was hugging this baby so tight and kept saying "I love it soooo much!" Grammy had me pick up a few Lego gifts for Christmas (actual Christmas) while we were in California. Reagan had remembered us looking at these Lego people and was extremely dissapointed when we got home and I didn't produce it. She was equally excited when Grammy gave it to her as her Christmas in July present!I'm not sure what Jackson was so excited about here. I guess he was excited to be wearing Christmas pjs and celebrating life in general?!?!? :)After opening the gifts everyone got their Christmas (Hot Chocolate and Marshmellow PJs for the girls - what else would you wear when watching "The Polar Express?) and headed downstairs to watch the movie. When I came downstairs Reagan was being so sweet with Kennedy's new baby doll. You can see she has it wrapped up in her purple blanket and is saying "Shhh, shhh, shhh" as if she's putting it to sleep or calming it down. So precious! :)I love this picture of Grammy with her three Christmas kiddos! :)At some point the girls decided they needed to give some of Kennedy's trademark "BIG" hugs. Here's Missy K on her way to deliver a "BIG" hug to Grammy!!!Here comes a "BIG" hug for me!!!Reagan gives some pretty great "BIG" hugs too!!! :)Grand-Dad made his special Hot Chocolate for us to enjoy during the movieJackson was NOT happy that Grand-Dad didn't bring some Hot Chocolate for him. Have I mentioned this baby has a temper???He was much happier once he had some of my Hot Chocolate. That was until mine ran out and then was he was MAD again.Lucky for Jackson he has two big sisters who happily shared their drinks with him. What good sisters!Life is much better after filling up on Hot Chocolate and stealing both spoons from his big sisters! The girls always like to dance during the credits/music at the end of movies. Grammy and Jackson decided to get in on the action as well! :)Once we got upstairs Jackson discovered Grand-Dad still had some Hot Chocolate. He was more than happy to help him finish it off and drink right out of the bowl and ladle. We recently brought Thomas upstairs for Jackson to play with and he loves taking a ride! Thanks for a Very Merry Christmas in July Grammy and Grand-Dad!!! :) We look forward to celebrating with you again in December! :)
