Thanksgiving 2011

I'm officially less than 2 months behind after making this post... lol :) I'm going to do my best to make at least one post per day until I'm at least close to caught up! In the meantime, please enjoy these belatedly posted Thanksgiving pictures. This first one is one of my favorite pictures ever of the girls. It's out of order in terms of how the post should flow but I just love it so much I had to start with it. These sweet sisters are such good friends! :)The girls got straight to work in the kitchen Thanksgiving morning helping Grammy make some wonderful dinner rolls.Missy K worked hard at helping with Grammy's dinner rolls tooBoth girls worked especially hard at stealing dough too but I especially loved this picture I caught of Missy K... It's nothing short of a miracle we had any dinner rolls to eat for Thanksgiving!Grand-Dad caught a picture of me checking on our Turduckin - looking yummy! :)Grand-Dad sharpening and checking out his knifeA family picture posing with our traditional Thanksgiving TurduckinTime to get serious about carving that Turduckin! Our Thanksgiving Feast!Time for dessert! I cheated with a store bought pecan pie but made my favorite Paula Dean Pear and Apple pie as well as tried a new Paula Dean recipe for the pumpkin pie. I'm telling you what Ms. Paula Dean knows her pies! :)Jackson passed me right up and wanted Aunt Dorothy to hold him instead. Godmother's are pretty special! :)I can't remember the game Grand-Dad and Jackson were playing here but Jackson was loving every minute of his time outside with Grand-Dad! :) Missy K playing so nicely with the little boys :)Cute Cousins :)Here are my favorite individual pictures of some of my favorite LaBar cousins! Love you guys! We'll start with this super cute picture of Mr. Holden (25 months old)

Jackson (14 1/2 months)Reagan (4 1/2 years old)Heidi (4 1/2 years old) Kennedy (3 years old)The girls did a great job of making a Brie Wheel for us to enjoy as part of our evening snacksAll three girls, and especially Missy K, enjoyed some dough after putting the Brie Wheel in the oven to bake Grammy and her three "iddo kiddos" :)
As is our tradition, we finished up our Thanksgiving day by watching Polar Express while enjoying Grand-Dad's special Hot Cocoa. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are so blessed to have such a wonderful family to spend it with!
